Chris Helmrath is a Managing Director at SC&H Capital, the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) practice, as well as corporate financial advisory and management consulting services. His expertise is in M&A, debt and equity financing, strategic and operational planning, and financial and transactional advisory services aimed at increasing shareholder value. Chris’ experience extends through various industries, with particular concentration in government contracting, IT, healthcare, real estate, manufacturing and distribution, consumer products, and business services. He has conducted transactional and advisory service engagements involving, in aggregate, over $5 billion.

Chris’ unique capabilities derive from his years of experience in corporate finance with several large accounting firms and his academic career as a finance professor. He has taught graduate-level courses at Loyola College’s Sellinger School of Business, and also for the Capstone Program at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, which recognized him with an Excellence in Teaching Award. Chris earned his B.A. in Economics from Miami University, and his MBA in Finance from Loyola College, where he graduated at the top of his class.

Brian Karlisch co-founded Buchanan & Edwards (BE) and served as Chief Executive Officer until October 2015.  An accomplished and recognized leader, Brian offers a unique blend of business development, building organizational capability, global team building and delivering mission critical IT solutions.   As CEO, Brian worked closely with the BE Executive team to develop and execute the company’s strategy and long-term vision.

He now serves as Chairman of the Board, and advisor at BE, focusing on developing strategies to grow and improve the company.  He has over 20 years of software engineering and management consulting experience solving complex IT problems for Federal Government and Fortune 1000 companies.

Mr. Karlisch received his Bachelor ‘s degree from Virginia Tech and has taken numerous courses with the Darden School of Business Executive Education program.  He is a member of the Board of Advisors with the Apex Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Virginia Tech, is an active member of the Renaissance Executive Forums, Professional Services Council, MissionLink, and ACG – National Capitol Region.

Barry Landew is the co-founder of Wolf Den Associates, a company focused on assisting clients in accelerating their Federal market growth through strategy, capture, and M&A. Prior to founding Wolf Den, Mr. Landew served 29 years at SRA International in critical roles including as executive vice president for corporate development with responsibility for external growth, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic planning.  For the past 20+ years, Mr.  Landew has been an active leader in the Federal IT community, speaking at more than 50 conferences on topics ranging from Federal trends to the Capture Process.  He is the architect of leading pipeline analysis, B&P Allocation, and Bid Evaluation tools and played a key role in transitioning SRA from a private to a public company in 2002 through its initial public offering.  Additionally, Mr. Landew served as a national security systems analyst, software engineer, and project manager in the 1980s; and as sales and marketing senior vice president in the 1990s, directly involved in many of SRA’s most important wins.  Mr. Landew holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics from Johns Hopkins University where he also taught Modeling and Simulation.
